This is also a perfect example of my go-to look for winter: comfy sweater, skinny jeans, and my favorite brown boots :)

Navy and Brown
Bryan and I went out to run a few errands tonight which included cleaning and checking out of our old apartment. We are now officially all moved into the new place! Here's my look for the day. I'm still getting over my cold so I tried to be comfortable yet still cute and put together.

Bright Green
Bryan and I had to go downtown Minneapolis for a meeting tonight at the AT&T Building. I want to work there! It's such a cool modern building inside. I've been fighting off a cold for the past few days, so I thought a nice bright green top would cheer me up a little bit.

Home for Thanksgiving
I am so happy to be back home in Iowa for Thanksgiving! Family is the most important thing to me, and I am so thankful to be spending the entire weekend at my parent's house with my husband, brother, sister-in-law, and parents. Here are a few pictures from our big family meal today.

Moving Day
We are finally moved into our new apartment! It was a long day on Saturday, but we are so excited to be here in the new place. It's the perfect location, beautiful scenery, 1100 sq feet, and only a 10 minute commute to Bryan's job!
Here are a few pictures I took from Saturday. Sorry no outfits again. I haven't been looking too nice lately while packing and working around the apartment!
Ok, one outfit picture. I'm wearing my Pink yoga pants, Express tee-shirt, American Eagle headband, and I am unsure of where I bought the jacket.

And this is the mess I'm dealing with right now. Have I mentioned how much I hate packing and unpacking? |
Officially my favorite thing about our new place. A guest bathroom where I can hang our new monogrammed towels :) |

Friday Update
It has been a crazy week! From running a million errands, packing up our apartment so we can move tomorrow, and interviewing for a volunteering position at St Josephs hospital in St Paul I have had no time to post anything. After taking a whole week off from blogging I thought you all might want to see a few pictures. Sorry no outfits, but I've been living in yoga pants and sweatshirts for the past five days...
In all the craziness I did find a little time to stop at the mall and see all the Christmas decorations in the stores. That's one thing I love about the holidays: all the lights and trees and pretty things :) I'm pretty sure it's against the rules to take pictures in stores (at least that's how it was at Express when I worked there), so I had to be pretty sneaky to get these pictures at Macy's. Here's a little bit of holiday cheer to make you smile today!
Today I had to go to the post office to mail our thank you cards from the wedding. While I was driving I saw this really neat building in South St Paul, so I pulled over on the side of the road and took a couple pictures. I was not far enough away to get the entire building, but I think these pictures still show the beautiful architectural details.

The PORT
Bryan and I finally decided to try and find a church to attend. I researched online and I found one in Bloomington that sounded promising. This morning we attended Portland Avenue United Methodist Church, and were pleasantly surprised by the welcome we received. It felt so wonderful walking into a church that had such a warm feeling and such friendly and outgoing people. The sermon was even focused on the importance of attending worship which seemed like a fitting message for the two of us this morning. I think we will definitely be going there again sometime soon!

Out and About
After packing and cleaning the apartment all day, Bryan and I headed out to explore Rosedale Center up in Roseville, MN. We had a lot of fun walking around and people watching in the two story mall. I also found a really nice Express store! It was huge, the people were so friendly, and I guess I was spending a little too much time drooling over the clothing because Bryan eventually had to pull me out of there! I really wish I still had my associate discount...

Friday Fun
Bryan and I went out to a local sports bar after he got done with work today so I could meet a few of his co-workers. We had a great time and I loved being introduced as his wife! Always a plus when meeting new people :) Afterwards, we decided to use one of our wedding gift cards and go to Cracker Barrel for dinner. We are both so uncomfortably full and can barely move, so instead of packing up and cleaning the apartment tonight (since we're moving next weekend!) we are going to cuddle up on the couch and watch Sleepless in Seattle. What a perfect Friday night.

Thrifty Thursday
Here is another new favorite thrift store. Arc's Value Village. They have everything you could ever imagine! Men's and women's clothing, shoes, accessories, kitchen items, household, furniture, etc. My personal favorite section of the store: the CHRISTMAS section!!! I went to the Richfield location and it was super clean, very organized, and the workers were so friendly. Here are a few pictures I took while I was there.
I had to keep myself from buying all the Christmas decorations! |

It's Official
It's finally official! After sitting and waiting at the Social Security Card offices in Minneapolis for over an hour my name is officially changed. I am so glad I'm finally done with all of this name changing stuff and I'm truly a Mrs! Here's my look for this momentous occasion.
Here's a look back at us almost three years ago. Can't believe how time flies by so quickly!

Inspiration of the Week
Last weekend while out exploring the Twin Cities I came across this statue of Mary Tyler Moore in downtown Minneapolis. I used that as inspiration and come up with this modern day take on her classic style.
